Spirit of BC Week 2006

In 2006, Community Committees around the province organized hundreds of events. Many of them were unique to their area that involved all areas of the community: sports, volunteers, children, and more. A photo contest was held. See the winning images

100 Mile House created a Spirit of BC display

Alberni Valley organized and celebrated with a popular Skate Day.

Fort St John created this magical ice castle.

Hudson's Hope celebrated Spirit of BC Week with jam-can curling on an outdoor lake, roasting marshmellows on an outdoor fire, cross country skiing and games of shinny hockey. Hot chocolate, hot apple cider, coffee and cookies were provided at the School District's Outdoor Education Centre to keep participants warm and nourished.

New Westminister proudly displayed their Spirit of BC in the green and Lower Mainland weather.

The North Thompson area also hosted a successful kids Ski Day.
