Regional Roundtables – Kelowna
The regional roundtable for the Thompson Okanagan region was from November 21-22, 2006 at the Manteo Resort in Kelowna.
Attendees included representatives from the following Spirit of BC committees: Greater Vernon, Kamloops, Lillooet, Lumby, North Okanagan, North Thompson Valley, Oliver-Osoyoos, Penticton, Shuswap and Summerland.
Five guest speakers provided inspiration for strategic planning:
- Betty MacLeod, Senior Manager of Olympic Business Development, Royal Bank of Canada
- Robin Smith, Manager of Business Development, Commercial Markets, Royal Bank of Canada
- Chris Gudgeon, Project Manager for B.C. 2008, Ministry of Tourism, Sport and the Arts
- Shaun Poole, Community Relations, Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games
- Ken Veldman, Business Connections Manager, 2010 Commerce Centre
