• Spirit of BC is a 2010 Legacies Now program in partnership with the Province of B.C.
  
  
• Spirit of BC community committees are the core of the Spirit of BC program
  
  
• There are more than 95 Spirit of BC committees throughout the province representing over 200 regions and communities
  
  
• Spirit of BC community committees often raise funds and seek sponsorship and in-kind donations locally
  
  
• Spirit of BC Week, held every year in February, is a celebration of our province and its unique communities, as well as a countdown to the 2010 Winter Games
  
  
• More than 100 communities celebrated Spirit of BC Week 2009 (February 6-14) with 300 events, including winter festivals, arts showcases, sport tournaments and free skate and swim days.
  
  
• The Spirit of BC logo represents the four areas of our province, the four seasons, and the diversity of our province's population
