• Spirit of BC is an initiative of 2010 Legacies Now
  
  
• Spirit of BC Community Committees are the core of the Spirit of BC program
  
  
• There are more than 90 Spirit of BC committees throughout the province representing over 200 regions and communities
  
  
• Spirit of BC Community Committees often raise funds and seek sponsorship and in-kind donations locally
  
  
• Spirit of BC Week, held every year in February, is a celebration of our province and its unique communities, as well as a countdown to the 2010 Winter Games
  
  
• In 2010, Spirit of BC Week will become one of the biggest province-wide celebrations in tandem with the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver-Whistler
  
  
• The Spirit of BC logo represents the four areas of our province, the four seasons, and the diversity of our province's population
